In Pennsylvania union thuggery, violations of the law, and criminality is abundant in the strike by the Communications Workers of America against Verizon. It’s expected that unionistas don’t respect businesses, of course, but not to respect the safety of children? That’s beyond the pale.
Sadly, theft, property destruction, and otherwise breaking the law is no hurdle union thugs won’t jump. In fact, it is threats of and use of violence and thuggery that unions have always relied on to extort money from the business community. The situation in Pennsylvania is no exception to the illicit rule of unionism.
Yes, law breaking prevails. These Penn. union members, for instance, are breaking the law by preventing other workers from entering their place of work. It is illegal to do this according to the National Labor Relations Act.
As the Pittsburg Post-Gazette reports:
An Allegheny County judge today signed an order prohibiting striking Verizon workers from blocking the entrance to any company offices or job sites.
The order, signed by Judge Michael E. McCarthy, specifies that the unionized workers with the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, are enjoined from “picketing, other than peacefully, and by no more than six pickets spaced, at any entrance to any Verizon facilities . . . or at any worksite of any Verizon employee or contractor performing company work.”
In addition, the order prohibits the strikers from “interfering with business, by threatening, obstructing, intimidating or harassing” customers or other employees.
As to the safety of children? Even fatherhood seems to come second to unionism.
A union creep dangerously placed his own daughter in front of a Verizon truck in New Jersey.
There are a lot of other illegal intimidation tactics being perpetrated by these union cretins in this strike.
This is what they do.
Priorities. Union guys have priorities, you know? For instance, in New Jersey earlier this year a bunch of union drivers for the Communications Workers of America (CWA) decided that it was more important to have a “sick-out” and strand sick elderly people, preventing them getting to their life-saving medical treatment than do their jobs.
State Sen. Joe Kyrillos, (R-13), of Middletown wasn’t too happy with these uncaring union louts, either.
“It is outrageous that 174 disabled and elderly clients who depend on SCAT were stranded by what appears to be a coordinated effort by employees to disrupt service without notice,” said Kyrillos. “The actions of these workers is completely unbecoming of any public servant, and should make every taxpayer in Monmouth County furious. CWA, the union representing these employees, needs to denounce their members for putting the well-being of these vulnerable individuals at risk, and the employees in question should be fired.”
Of course they should be fired. So should their union. In fact, their union should be eliminated entirely. Government workers should not be allowed to be unionized. That these creeps put these elderly patients in danger of their lives because the union louts wanted more money is unconscionable.

The next level of obduracy by New Jersey’s government employee unions has been taken. The Communication Workers of America, the state’s largest government workers union, has filed a suit against New Jersey Governor Chris Christie claiming he isn’t negotiating in good faith over the union’s healthcare contract.
You see Gov. Christie wants to change the contract so that the union members contribute up to 30% of their healthcare premium and introduce lower the cost benefit plans.
Unions are against the changes and are trying everything they can to stop the tax-saving schemes that Christie is trying to implement.
Christie spokesman Kevin Roberts sounded the exact right note.
“This is just another episode of the same public relations circus that CWA and Hetty Rosenstein have continued to engage in,” Roberts said. “One can only conclude that they are frustrated with having to negotiate with an administration that is finally standing up for taxpayers for once.”
Exactly.
But this is just the point, here. Government unions have absolutely no interest in doing right by the taxpayers. In fact, just the opposite. Government union’s whole raison d’etre is to plunder the taxpayers. The taxpayers aren’t someone unions think about as anything other than a bottomless pit of money.
Worse, if the taxpayers finally begin to elect stewards of the public treasury like Chris Christie, folks who are concerned that the taxpayers get the best bang for their buck, in the minds of the unions the taxpayers become the enemy.
We, folks, we taxpayers are the enemy of government unions as far as they are concerned.
New Jersey’s Gov. Chris Christie took another shot at his state’s teachers today by describing their union leaders as “political thugs.”
In an interview with ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer, Christie offered no apology for his often tough talk that has left some teachers feeling bruised. He also talked about the presidential possibilities of both himself and his “friend” Donald Trump, and criticism by Jersey rock icon Bruce Springsteen.
While sitting in the school library at Lincoln School in Kearney, N.J., Christie told Sawyer that it’s essential for his state’s education system to change and he blames the teachers union for the harsh cuts his administration is making, that includes layoffs and larger classrooms.
“I believe the teachers in New Jersey in the main are wonderful public servants that care deeply. But their union, their union are a group of political thugs,” Christie said…
