Happy Independence Day

On July 4, 2009, in Uncategorized, by Warner Todd Huston

Here’s wishing all of you a happy Independence Day.

We here at TheUnionLableBlog always call it Independence Day instead of the generic July 4th because it is all too easy to forget what the holiday is for unless we call it by its rightful name, Independence Day. So, pause for at least a moment sometime today and remember that we celebrate the day when we resolved to separate from England and become our own country this day in July every year. This is America’s birthday. Because of it the beacon of freedom was lit for all humanity.

So, happy Independence Day, everyone.
